It was really exciting to become a member of global family. Through out this workshop we worked as a dynamic group. Indeed it was a fun to get this form of knowledge and learning procedure globally. All the facilitators were very cooperative I indeed all of us this enjoyed a lot. MARYAM JAMEELA This
was a fabulous chance to explore, develop and expand my technical skills
through in an interactive class while collaborating with other learners from
all over the globe Ghulamane Abbas School |
It was my first introduction
to iEARN andI was really amazed to see the difference iEARN is making in the
life of many students. I knew nothing about this network but after attending
the workshop I have gained much. It provides great opportunity to interact.
It’s a platform to share our ideas culture knowledge and teaching
methodologies. I am Zeba Abid from Shahwilayat
Public School and have been teaching Maths and English for the last 25
years. I came to the workshop without much knowledge of the iEARN and its
working. Infact I was pretty apprehensive about it. But as the class
progressed my doubts and apprehensions slowly started fading as the
instructors talked and explained, the working of iEARN became clearer.
Infact the whole time I had my English class students in mind and new ideas
cropped up. As I am an English language teacher and always in the quest to
bring up new topics for creative writing, iEARNS projects have formed an
excellent platform to write reflective, descriptive and argumentative
compositions. It has opened new horizons to explore. My students will surely
be as excited as I am to venture into this world of relationship. It will
help to broaden students ‘ outlook in life. And perhaps , who knows their
views might just click in some insane leaders head and change it for the
better. It was a wonderful experience for me
to learn about iEARN in this workshop. With the help of this platform I join
a community of teachers and students who worked on Internet based
collaborative projects. In FTE (Friendship Through Education) program there
is an interaction of youth from all over the world to build a culture of
peace and where the rights of all human beings are respected. I intend to
use the skills gained in this workshop to teach our children how to create
and exchange artwork, writings, poems and other global issues related to
environment and publish on the net. I hope to teach my students to use the
Internet for meaningful purpose not only for chatting. In an article New
trends in Global Issues and English teaching it was discussed that now
English language is used a source to discuss global issues. Ruqayia Zehra(ruqayiazehra@hotmail.com)
